Dedicated evening to the promotion of Georgian wine and cuisine

On June 18, 2025, an evening dedicated to the promotion of Georgian wine and cuisine was held in Istanbul, organized by the Consulate General of Georgia.

The event was attended by renowned sommeliers, journalists, influencers, media representatives, as well as representatives ofTürkiye’s leading retail and restaurant chains. The evening was hosted by well-known influencer and wine expert, Özgür Gül.

Guests had the opportunity to discover the centuries-old culture and traditions of Georgian winemaking and to taste Georgian wine along with traditional Georgian dishes.

The Consul General of Georgia in Istanbul, Aleksandre Jishkariani, addressed the audience. He emphasized that over the past three years, Georgian wine exports to the Republic of Türkiye have shown a growing trend, and that such initiatives and events contribute to raising awareness and promoting Georgian wine in the country.

The event was organized at the initiative of the Consulate General of Georgia in Istanbul, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and in cooperation with the Georgian wine importing company in the Republic of Türkiye – “Syrah Wine.” Traditional Georgian folk performances were presented by the “KafDagi” ensemble of the “Georgian Art House” of Istanbul.
