The meeting of the foreign ministers of Georgia, the Republic of Türkiye and the Republic of Azerbaijan in Istanbul

On 8 June 2026, the tenth meeting of the foreign ministers of Georgia, the Republic of Türkiye and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held in Istanbul, with the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, Hakan Fidan and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed the cooperation among the three countries, in both bilateral and multilateral formats. Particular attention was devoted to cooperation in the fields of politics, trade, economy, energy, connectivity, agriculture, transportation, culture, and humanitarian affairs. The ministers also highlighted the importance of maintaining and further deepening the active dynamics of high-level political dialogue and official visits.

The sides positively assessed the wide range of cooperation based on the principles of friendship, mutual understanding, respect and support for sovereignty and territorial integrity. They underscored the importance of upholding and strengthening these principles.
