The Consul General meets with the Governor of Tekirdağ and the Chairman of Tekirdağ TSO

On September 23, 2025, Consul General of Georgia in Istanbul, Aleksandre Jishkariani, paid a visit to the Tekirdağ region to explore opportunities for cooperation with representatives of the local authorities within the Consular District.

During the visit, the Consul General met with the Governor of Tekirdağ, Recep Soytürk. The two sides discussed prospects for cooperation between the Consulate General and the Governor’s Office, as well as with relevant institutions of the Republic of Türkiye. They also reviewed future plans, with particular emphasis on fostering collaboration in the areas of economy, trade, tourism, and culture.

Consul General Jishkariani also held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of the Tekirdağ Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Tekirdağ TSO), Cengiz Günay. In the course of the discussion, he provided an overview of the economic reforms that have been implemented in Georgia, highlighting the country’s favorable investment climate and the opportunities it offers.
