Consul General Mr. Jishkariani attends the conferences dedicated to Georgia–Türkiye bilateral relations and cultural cooperation at Istanbul’s Beykent and Nişantaşı Universities

The Consul General of Georgia in Istanbul, Aleksandre Jishkariani, attended academic conferences at Istanbul’s Beykent University and Nişantaşı University dedicated to Georgia–Türkiye bilateral relations and cultural cooperation, where he also addressed the audience. In his remarks, the Consul General emphasized the importance of academic collaboration, cultural relations, and people-to-people contacts in further advancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The conferences brought together representatives of academic circles, the media, Georgian cultural associations acting in Istanbul and the Marmara region, students of the host universities, as well as researchers and experts from universities in Türkiye and Georgia. The discussions focused on the following topics: Georgia–Türkiye relations, cultural cooperation, contemporary Georgian and Turkish literature, people-to-people connections, and cooperation in the academic field.
Meetings were also held between the university rectors. To further deepen cooperation, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Akaki Tsereteli State University in Kutaisi and Beykent University, as well as Istanbul’s Nişantaşı University. The events were organized within the framework of the Consulate General of Georgia’s cooperation with Turkish higher education institutions and Georgian cultural and diaspora associations acting in Istanbul.
