Opening of the Beyoglu International Film Festival

On February 18, 2025, the Consul General of Georgia in Istanbul, Aleksandre Jishkariani, attended the opening ceremony of the Beyoğlu International Film Festival.

The Beyoğlu Film Days is organized with the support of the Beyoğlu Municipality and the General Consulates accredited in Istanbul.

As part of the festival’s program, in collaboration with the Georgian National Film Center, a screening of the acclaimed Georgian filmmaker Eldar Shengelaia’s classic film “The Eccentrics” took place.

The opening ceremony was attended by local government officials, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, members of the diplomatic and consular corps, as well as representatives from the media and the arts community.
